REVAIA is committed to continuous and best-practice stakeholder engagement and consultation methods. Through integrating mechanisms within the REVAIA business framework, we ensure that previously underrepresented stakeholder groups or demographics are identified and actively consulted through the best possible means.
By adopting a comprehensive stakeholder engagement approach, we strive to foster inclusive and diverse participation in our decision-making and operational processes. This involves implementing strategies to reach out to existing, relevant, or newly identified stakeholders.
REVAIA aims to create a dynamic and inclusive dialogue that considers diverse perspectives and harnesses the collective knowledge of identified stakeholders. This enables us to make more informed decisions, develop better service offerings, and effectively address the unique needs and concerns of different stakeholders.
We recognise the value of diverse perspectives and the critical role that stakeholders play in shaping our organisation’s direction, ensuring that their voices are heard and considered throughout our operations.
This policy applies to all REVAIA employees, contractors, consultants, steering groups, advisory committees, and existing partners when engaging in a potential carbon project or prospect. This includes activities with the potential to influence or impact any actual or perceived stakeholder. This policy outlines REVAIA’s commitment to including the broader community and interested parties in the development of plans, strategies, and programs.
This policy illustrates REVAIA’s organisation-wide commitment to engaging stakeholders in a consistent and exemplary manner, following best practice as outlined by industry guidelines. By actively involving stakeholders, we aim to foster well-informed, satisfied, and engaged individuals who play an integral role in REVAIA’s decision-making processes.

This policy will strive to ensure that REVAIA has systems in place for obtaining input from stakeholders on the development and delivery of our services. This includes the following:
- Assessing and defining the project’s scope and boundaries through team workshops and meetings.
- Identifying stakeholders relevant to the project.
- Initiating communication with stakeholders through identified channels to gain insights into any challenges, community needs, and potential opportunities.
- Conducting a Risk Assessment workshop involving all stakeholders to identify project risks, gather data through stakeholder interviews and surveys, and share information.
- Assigning identified risks to appropriate personnel and stakeholders.
- Monitoring and managing these findings to ensure stakeholders’ perspectives are adequately reflected in the services offered.
- Fostering active engagement, maintaining open communication channels, and continuously seeking improvement opportunities through collaborative exercises such as workshops and meetings to discuss progress.
REVAIA elicits the following eight principles to guide and shape our approach to all stakeholder engagement activities. By following these principles, REVAIA strives to foster genuine engagement, build trust, and create lasting positive impacts in collaboration with stakeholders throughout the carbon project lifecycle:
- Rigour: REVAIA upholds thorough due diligence, incorporating Indigenous Carbon Industry Network (ICIN) practices into our systems and processes. By referencing ICIN practices, we ensure a comprehensive and respectful approach that considers the unique perspectives and expertise of Indigenous communities, enhancing the integrity and effectiveness of our engagement efforts.
- Stewardship: We ensure early engagement with local Traditional Owner groups, as well as with relevant nominated solicitors and land councils, to assist in the revival of ecosystems to full health by working with landholders or businesses to implement regenerative projects.
- Collaboration and Partnership: REVAIA is focused on building trusting, long-term partnerships that are collaborative in nature and built on respect, integrity, and transparency.
- Transparency: We ensure that Traditional Owners, landowners, and all other identified parties are provided with general carbon industry knowledge, the proposed method, and all information relevant to the proposed carbon project.
- Accountability: We take responsibility for our actions and commitments to stakeholders, ensuring we deliver on our promises and meet expectations.
- Integrity: REVAIA seeks to understand the challenges, wants, and needs of all identified stakeholders and impacted parties. We remain committed to implementing the commitments under this plan and carbon project requirements.
- Adaptability: REVAIA remains flexible and adaptive to the evolving needs and priorities of all stakeholders, adjusting our strategies and actions accordingly to ensure meaningful and effective engagement.
- Leadership: REVAIA will continue to demonstrate innovative and creative ways to improve upon existing procedures, methods, and stakeholder approaches. Our team is committed to providing thought leadership to the wider industry by actively sharing acquired knowledge.
During the engagement process, REVAIA refers all clients and stakeholders to our website, which hosts the publicly available Complaints Handling Procedure. We also inform eligible interest holders and clients of our compliance and best practice processes under the Carbon Code, as well as on the Australian Carbon Code website.
Furthermore, clients and relevant stakeholders are made aware that REVAIA partners with Corporate Carbon to deliver carbon projects. Both companies are signatories of the Code, upholding industry best practices and ensuring long-term compliance.
Relevant guidelines that REVAIA follows include:
- Carbon Code of Conduct
- Seeking free, prior, and informed consent from Indigenous communities for carbon projects (prepared by the Indigenous Carbon Industry Network)
- Clean Energy Regulator and Emission Reduction Fund Indigenous Engagement guidelines
All REVAIA employees are committed to continuous improvement and ongoing innovation, meaning that our team actively seeks feedback from stakeholders to improve our engagement practices. We strive to actively listen to all stakeholder suggestions and concerns, allowing us to gain different perspectives and help build stronger relationships that foster long-term partnerships.
